Based on the classic children’s book, the ‘Where the Wild Things Are’ theme offers the scope for a luxurious take on nature-inspired design, and is also a popular choice for luxurious children’s parties. For this particular party, our florist Kitten Grayson transformed a cow barn into a magical scene from the classic children’s book by foraging on the farm. It took 3 days to decorate everything and the result was absolutely stunning.

Planning a Day of the Dead party involves blending vibrant celebration with meaningful remembrance. That’s how to create an atmosphere that’s is both festive and little bit spooky! With this party, we contracted the services of an expert lighting designer to create customised projections for our client’s surprise 40th birthday. The first step was choosing a colour scheme inspired by traditional elements—bright oranges, deep purples, and vivid pinks—along with marigold flowers, which are believed to guide spirits.

To evoke the fiery spirit of the celebration and create visual contrast, we used orange cloth drapes throughout the venue. Decorations included papel picado banners, candles, and blue somewhat spooky lighting. Of course food was central to the celebration so we offered a blood red beetroot starter and traditional items like sugar skulls, pan de muerto, and spiced hot chocolate to really get people in the mood! The music reflected the spirit of the party’s theme by combining lively Latin tunes with party bangers to get everyone on the dance floor.
